4th Grade Field Trip

2/13/2019, 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM

We will meet at school that morning at 7:45 A.M. to allow time for the students to use the restroom and get on the buses by 8:00 A.M.

The busses will take us to the Amtrak station in Fullerton where we will board the 9:04 A.M. train that will take us to the San Juan Capistrano station. We will walk to the mission from the station as it is right across the street from Mission San Juan Capistrano!

Finally, we will return to the station to take the 3:08 P.M. train back to the Fullerton station. Our train is scheduled to arrive at 3:52 P.M. when the school buses will bring us back to Nixon. All students must ride the school bus back to school. We expect to return to Nixon by 4:30 P.M. This time depends on traffic conditions, and we will be calling the school office to let them know of any delays.
All students and parent chaperones will need to bring a small sack lunch labeled with their name. (Do not pack using any reusable items as it is difficult to keep track of them after lunch and often get lost. Please, no reusable water bottles or lunch bags.) Everyone should wear walking shoes and dress in layers for warm or cool weather. This is a rain or shine program. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.
Please return this form to your child’s teacher by Monday, January 14th.
